About Counselling

Counselling and Psychotherapy gives you an opportunity to talk confidentially about what is troubling you. It may be a relationship that is not working, poor self-esteem, work or career difficulties. Maybe you are depressed, have suffered a huge loss or have serious thoughts about ending your life. Perhaps you have experienced sexual abuse or sexual confusion or you lack meaning in your life, feel anxious or angry but don't know why. It may be you find it difficult to talk to anyone about what matters most to you. Or perhaps you cannot point to anything specific but feel somehow there is something wrong with you or your life. You want to lead a rewarding and fulfilled life but don't seem to be able to "get it together".

In a confidential environment, through Counselling and Psychotherapy, you can explore and develop understanding of your feelings and thoughts. This can help you find a way through the circumstances that are troubling you. Underlying these circumstances may be patterns of behaviour that are contributing to your distress. Psychotherapy seeks to uncover these. There may be wounds you are unaware of which impact on your current life. Psychotherapy seeks to heal these wounds, leaving you free from the pain of the past and empowered to create a better future for yourself.
